Cinema comes in many forms, and so does our audience! With that in mind we work incredibly hard to cater to all tastes and trends. From big budget blockbusters, event screenings including ballet, opera and plays. We also show classic films and the best that World Cinema has to offer, and we are thrilled to share it with you.

Housed in the ground floor of an 18th century Malthouse, choose from our classic seats; salvaged and lovingly restored from The Savoy Cinema in Nottingham, a Luxury seat or a comfy Sofa for Two.

We respect the traditions of the cinema going experience and supplement this with a digital approach, meaning you can browse films easily and purchase tickets online in a few easy steps; as well as memberships and gift vouchers.

The Northern Light, Sale

Situated in the vibrant Stanley Square shopping precint, our sister cinema opened in 2025 in the Manchester suburb of Sale. Taking inspiriation from the designs and style of our cinema; with Blackpop furnishings and Curiousa lighting, this three screen cinema features boutique screens, a fully functional bar and a wide array of programming for all audiences. You might even recognise some of the staff too!

The Ritz, Belper

The Ritz is run by Amanda and opened in 2006 in a small town in Derbyshire that was recently named high street of the year. It is our second smallest cinema, with just 99 seats. The Ritz shows a mix of cultural, commercial and classic films.

The Regal, Melton

The Regal Cinema is run by Jacob and Bryony and has 110 seats including 16 luxury seats, 5 sofa’s for two and 84 standard seats. The cinema is located in Melton Mowbray, known best for its boutique, luxury cinema – closely followed by the pork pies!

The Savoy, Heaton Moor

The Savoy cinema is run by Louis & Sophie and is located in Heaton Moor (just 9 miles away from the Rex!) and was renovated in 2015. It has 175 seats, including 7 sofas and 27 luxury seats. Many bars and eateries have opened since the Savoy reopened and it is now a brilliant location for a night out.

The Rex, Wilmslow

The Rex Cinema is run by Louis and Sophie Mundin and has two screens, with over 170 seats including 27 luxury seats, 18 sofa’s for two and a 4 person VIP Box in the Balcony hall. The cinema is located in Wilmslow, known for its boutique shops and its affluent Cheshire setting.
